Made for the Safe In Our World Game Dev Champions jam, for the Solo, Over 25 category.

In this game, I explore the struggle of adults trying to meet societal expectations - to keep smiling and be positive, showing that they have everything under control and that everything is fine. The game simulates the experience of trying to suppress negative emotions because showing them is often seen as childish or inconvenient in public.

Through a series of challenges, players experience the constant effort to maintain facial composure while dealing with life's big and small annoyances. This suppression of emotions makes it hard for us to open up and connect with others, which leads to long-term mental health issues.

Another key aspect of the game is its focus on controlling facial and body expressions. In the future, I hope we see more games that allow for control of facial and body expressions to create a more personal experience for players.

I used these great free sounds for the game:

HAHA I loved this. The feeling of having to break my back just to keep a dumb smile on my face was soooo relatable. At the end I let go of all the keys and the face instantly fell into a frown. It was so classic.

Really great game.

Thank you, I'm not good at art and was wondering how to make basic shapes fun, so I'm really glad you like it :D
